As yet we have not left the fine country of Australia for the ‘Land of the free and the home of the brave’. Today has been filled with final packing, making sure our belongings back home are secured, checking, double-checking, triple-checking, quadruple-checking, quintuple-checking we have our passports and now making the drive to Sydney so we can get up nice and early and avoid the runners of Sydney’s ‘city-to-surf’ and arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare to catch our plain… oh and enjoy every millilitre of the last decent coffee we are to drink for 9 months.
For all who came to our farewell last night (and also to those who would have liked to have come but couldn’t make it), thanks so much for blessing us on our way. Enjoy Australia whilst we’re dodging bullets, learning to love drip filter coffee and soaking up 30 degree (celsius) heat ;-P oh and hoping desperately that Hilary Clinton doesn’t get in hehehe (sorry Dad!)
We’re an expected mix of excited, nervous, anxious, happy and of course sad to be leaving behind loved ones.
Finally Mum… just in case there was any doubt in your mind already: #nomumimnotdead
